I’m in my early 50’s and have been suffering from aging process. I’ve tried a lot of varies treatments but very little of them used to help.
Can anyone honestly recommend the best anti-aging anti-wrinkles product they have ever tried?
Thank you and I will be looking forward to hearing the answer.

I’m doing a research topic for school and I’m just curious on peoples opinion on the topic. With age many peoples mental status starts to go. Could this mental decay be slightly caused by all of the traumatic events they have had to witness? Do you think that the historical events such as The Cold War, Vietnam War, The Great Depression, Cuban Missile Crisis, the assignations of a great president and the fall of the Twin Towers, our current elderly population witnessed altered their mental state?

I know all questions may not apply to most of you, but answering the ones that do will be helpful. If you can think of more tips that I have not asked please share.

What facial cleanser do you use? I have normal skin except my lips constantly peel.
What facial moisturizer do you use?
What do you use to ward off lines, wrinkles, and age spots?
Do you use any other anti-aging products?
I have dry skin. What body wash or body soap do you use?
What kind of body lotion do you use?
What kind of firming lotion do you use?
Is cocoa butter or shea butter better for firming?
What lip gloss do use? I am looking for something that keeps the lips moist and not really for beauty purposes.
What is your favorite perfume?
This next question may seem weird but here goes. I am looking for answers on this one from those who can relate (so basically people the same shade as me). I am the same shade as Gabrielle Union and Jennifer Hudson. What shade of lipstick and and eye makeup would look best on me? Please no one guess plum because that is awful on medium to dark brown skin.

i am 13 and have mature skin for age, AKA oily, pimply lol. the only foundation that works for me is a lancome anti-aging foundation. It has great coverage and keeps oil away. Is it ok that it is anti-aging or is it bad for my skin? THANKS!

i’m 20 and have been smoking for about 2 1/2 years. if i stop now will i still be at risk for premature aging

I’m 16 and a Junior in high school. I really want to become a dermatologist but I have no idea about the process of becoming one. What type of school do I need to attend (I live in North Carolina)? How much time will I spend in school? What will it cost from my freshman year to graduation from medical school? What is the difficultly level of all the schooling? How much money do dermatologist make on average and to begin with? What should I major in before medical school?
I am interested in lazer treatments, ache treatment, anti-aging, and nonsurgical work.

THANKS!!!

Here’s the scenario. I have 2 adult Sims currently living in a Sims home. They both have twenty or so days until they become elderly. Is there any way to prevent that aging? I don’t want them to get old! I want my Sims to stay as adults. Please help.

it is basically about the problems of medical care, the housing and programs, and release of the elderly

LOL I know this sounds silly.
But I’m watching VH1 and all these aging celebrities (who are all white too…) are getting these ridiculous anti-aging treatments at age 40, 50, 60.

So I was thinking…if one were to start those treatments at a YOUNGER age, would that slow up aging? Sorry if this is a stupid question..

I’m not going to do this for myself (because I’m black and our skin never ages muhahaha) but I was just wondering if there is any logic behind it.

I need anti aging tips. Wrinkles are beginning to show on my face and I was wondering if there are any anti aging tips I can follow to control the wrinkles on my face before they get out of hand. Any anti aging tips will be very helpful. Does anyone know of any?

What to look for? Retinol? Alpha hydroxy?

If an expensive conventional product contained ingredients that lead to premature aging (fine lines, wrinkles, damaged skin, increased risk of skin cancer) would you use the product?

If there were a natural solution that didn’t lead to premature aging, would you switch?
No, not a sales pitch, just a question. I am trying to understand what motivates people to purchase products that cause permanent damage to their skin. If it was a sales pitch, I would have included what to buy and where to buy it in the post.

I dont understand why. My lips constant peel. I have used aquaphor healing ointment and it doesnt work, I am now using a blistexdeep renewal anti aging treatment.
I used blistex lip medicated ointment before and another chapstick that was with cocoa butter. and I forgot which one it was that helped my lips heal. but even when it healed it just started cracking up again. its like my lips are raw red after they peel but on the very bottom of the bottom lip I can see the natural lip ok and then most of the bottom lip is raw red.
, they dont itch though, and when they start healing new skin comes but then it thickens and it looks better but then starts cracking apart. and then it will turn white if it gets moist. especially when I take hot showers or baths. This all started because I used to bite my lips in highschool. But I used to bite my lips when I was a little kid and and then they healed after I stopped biting them. This problem has been going on for a couple of years since highschool

I need to do an interview, for a research on aging. What questions could I ask an 80 year old man regarding his life experiences?

I have a 15 year old cat, and she isn’t in the best of health, but she gets around just fine. About 2 days ago, I’ve noticed that when she jumps up or down from somewhere, she can’t seem to keep her balance as well. She wobbles a bit from side to side, and sometimes falls over. This is only when she jumps somewhere.

Could this be something serious, or is it just part of aging?
She’s not fat. She’s only 5lbs.

Will it help clear up your face. Anyone know some tips for blackheads? Type crisco anti aging cream in on google. I heard body builders use crisco.

Cheers!

Nivea has a few different products for skin tightning, cellulite, etc. Just a little confused about which one is best for my purpose.

I’m in my early 30s, but have had the orange peel thing happening on my stomach for the past year.

Just purchased Nivea’s Goodbye Cellulite, in addition to Nivea’s Age Defying Moisturizer, both for use on my body and not my face.

But I wonder if the "orange peel" belly is even cellulite or just excess skin from when I lost 10 pounds, and if the cellulite gel would even work for this.

NIVEA PRODUCTS’ CLAIMS

Anti-Age Treatment Body Lotion
Less wrinkles, e.g. at décolleté or arm pit area
Less dryness all over the body

My Silhouette!/Slimming & Reshaping Gel-Cream
Leads to a reduction of up to 3 cm on targeted body parts such as thighs, hips, waist and belly.

Good-bye Cellulite Gel-Cream
Visible reduction of the appearance of cellulite at the respective body parts.

Help! Don’t want to use the incorrect product for my belly….
I forgot about Skin Firming Moisturiser by Nivea.

CLAIMS
Noticeably firms the skin
Tangibly tightens the skin
Moisturises the skin

Sigh.

My skin is annoying me like crazy! They look old and ugly, so I definitely need some anti aging skin products! Does anyone know any good anti aging skin products that I can use! Please help! I really want to have beautiful skin again.

Hi everyone,

Ok so first I will say I have a doctors appt for tomorrow afternoon – so I am in no way going to self diagnose or switch meds by myself. I just have a question for anyone who has struggled with severe depression and anxiety – or a mild case of bi-polar.

I have been on/or at least tried most anti-depressants. Prozac worked great for years when I was age 16-21, then it seemed to stop working well.

I have tried cymbalta, zoloft and paxil. In October I found a new doctor after moving out of state. I had always been treated with the diagnosis of severe depression + anxiety. After speaking with my new doctor, she thought I may have a mild case of the bi-polar disease.
I do have manic episodes – though not anything that would hospitalize me (yet lol). And super low – lows.

She put me on Effexor.

Within 2 weeks i felt my depression begin to lift – and my anxiety seemed to almost get worse…. Then after 6 weeks or so, the anxiety was OK but not great.

Mind you, I also was a very heavy drinker. So I am not sure how well this med ever got a chance to work in the last 3 months….

Recently my insurance termed – and I switched to Venlafaxine (which is effexor generic). I did the switch to generic 12/30/08 – I just switched from effexor to the generic — as I read they are nearly identical.

I also QUIT drinking on 01/08/09 completely, and am working an AA program.

I have a healthy diet, no booze the last 10 days, and have been going to the gym for 2 weeks. HOWEVER, with all of this good stuff I am doing in my life – I have been dizzy, lightheaded, had vertigo and feel sick most of the day since about the 5th of January… I still have very bad anxiety – though the depression still seems under control.

Are all these dizzy, nauseous, vertigo feelings from going to generic you think? Or maybe they are the TRUE side effects for me, and I had blocked them from all of my drinking and cancelled out what the anti-depressant had been doing for me or to me should I say….

I am going in to see if effexor/venlafaxine is just not the right fit for me – I am not sure what my next option would be after this???

I just wanted to throw this out there, in case someone had a similiar reaction as mine to this medicine and what they ended up switching to or finding helped take the side effects away??

Thanks all!

Would there still be a need for people to believe in god(s)?

No matter if you believe in the possibility or not, just imagine it as a thought scenario. If we ever reached this stage, what would be the point of religion? What would be the point of blind faith?

I personally think many theists believe in god(s) because they are clinging to the hope of there being something more after death. So I want to ask you theists two questions:

1. Would you still believe in god(s) if you no longer had to die?

2. If you had the opportunity, would you want to live forever, or at least for as long as you desired? Or would you rather die after having lived a normal human life? Are you *that* convinced of there being an afterlife in heaven that you would refuse to accept anti-aging treatments if we had them? Or exactly what would your choice be in such a scenario..?

As for all you other people out there who are NOT theists, you can just tell me what you think about this whole dilemma, and what you personally would do. How long would YOU want to live for, if you had the choice..? ;)

I’m dating this guy, he’s 38. He’s got an awesome personality and is fun to be around. The only thing that bothers me is his wrinkles. He has more wrinkles than a 70 year old man, and I’m not exaggerating. I know he smokes and is out in the sun, but it seems to be more than just that. I seriously wonder if he had been on meth. We were talking one day about drugs, and the only thing he’s ever tried supposedly has been pot. But is there a way I could tell if he’s ever taken meth before? I was looking at meth before and after pics the other night, and it sure reminded me of this guy.

A. Women and men age differently

B. We associate certain behaviors with the elderly

C. The elderly are competing for a limited resource

D. The elderly are leaving society so that the younger generation can take over

What do you think of people over 30 or people in their 40’s? What do you think about the elderly?
