This is so sad, they gave their best years to me when I was young and now they need me for almost everything. It has been a Challenge because I an over 50 and still have needs of my own like camping and traveling. I hate to sound ungrateful but I need a break, my life is slipping away while I watch my Parents die of old age one day at a time.

Seems odd to me that a party that wants to win the next election is represented by leaders like Sen McCain, a two time loser of such an advanced age. Since Democrats are bringing in young people I just thought that the Republicans would want to do the same?

Especially in cities, you hear stories of old people who die and aren’t found for ages, it’s just so sad isn’t it? What kind of society have we created that would let our elderly population die unremembered and unmourned like this?

Trying to find an animal that would be representative of taking care of their parents as they age. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!!

I understand that he has some problems staying awake and controlling his temper, but those are all natural, age-related infirmities.
Obviously, someone of his age and physical decline is not someone that America will seriously consider for president, but don’t you think that he’s a real inspiration for old folks all over the world?
Plus, he’s so cute when he falls asleep during important meetings.

My husband is 63 and gets panick attacks when he drives on the highway. The road seems to be coming at him and he has to stop driving because he has the feeling he will loose control. One of his friend is 71 and experiences the same thing. Does that come with age?

IDK about anyone else, but i have never seen an elderly LGBT person or couple (over 60). Like i see young LGBT people and middle age LGBT people, but it just seems like they disappear after the middle age period.

Should we allow these elderly parents(grandparents to the children) to immigrate?

like after some one turns 70…should they be forced to retake the writen exam and the driving test again? and if so do you think it should be done every year after 70..or just every 5 years? ie at 70, 75,80- then we just revoke their license! and should the same idea go for teen drivers? up in till they reach 25?

i guess there was a few people that did not full read the entire question….i also said we should retest TEENS until they hit 25!!! no discrimination…teen, early 20’s and the elderly are the most hazerdous people on the roads!

I have been trying to cook for someone, but her appetite is low due to her age and a number of illnesses. She’s more inclined towards fried meats, but that causes detriment to her health. She’s an asian and prefers "asian food" in general, but is not above trying "western foods"

Is there a general guideline to work with?

I hear that creamy foods are generally out for aged people due to their palette right?

Was Jesus a good example for children of aging parents? Take care of parents of go die martydom?
Especially in the US with little secure health care and family to take care of elderly parents, would you be appalled if someone said it is more noble to go die than to live and take care of your elderly parents?

My elderly relative (age 80) is on blood thinners due to a recent clot. He seems to be doing well. He wants to get some dental work completed that was started before he got the clot. He wants to have his bridge work done.

Is this something that he would likely have to wait to get done? Meaning they wouldn’t do it until he is no longer on the blood thinners?

compared to the eldery young people vote way less. i know a lot of young people vote.

Ok so I have the sims 3 for the computer and I have 7 people in my family and me and my wife are almost elderly and I don’t want them to be. Elderly man age 79 is served court petition for credit charges from his deceased partner. What can and should he do? It looks like the firm wants to settle but the elderly man has no money to pay the entire thing. He was extremely harrased before by lots ofcredit companies before this lawsuit came so would this count that he can file a counter suit?

It’s intiguing that I see people from non Western (American and European) cultures who show more respect and reverence for their elderly parents, and even those aged ones not related to them. In many languages, you would be expected to adress anyone older than you by a different greeting than someone your own age. Unfortunately, it seems in our superficial society youth and beauty is viewed as more important than wisdom and life experience.

I keep hearing about how if the bill passes that people over a certain age who need medical treatment won’t be able to receive it. I don’t know to what extent that this is true, so I am trying to figure out what really will happen to people over the age limit. You can’t deny helping someone in need. That’s almost cruel and unusual punishment if you ask me.

Is there ageism (descrimination towards elderly?), how do seniors fit into society, what do you do when retired (hobbies)?, any thoughts on housing, pension systems, etc.
