At what age would you stop being an adult a begin being elderly?
Thank you babii angel, that was just the answer I wanted!!!

Medical studies and articles, and prescribing information for drugs, sometimes refer to differential effects in the "elderly".

Is there a standard definition of "elderly" in medical usage? Possibly it’s an informal category, just as in normal speech. I’m trying to find out whether it has a precise medical definition.

Note that I’m not looking for guesses. Obviously anyone can guess, and I can guess myself. What I’m looking for instead is whether the word has a precise, generally accepted definition in medicine. If so, I’d like to know what the definition is (what cutoff age or age range).

Thanks.

I think of 70+

My parents are retired and I want them to carry credit cards for emergencies. I know that there are other re-loadable, prepaid cards out there, but Buxx Cards seem to give more online control to monitor usage and add credit. What are the age limitations? I searched Visa and offering banks’ websites, but could not find this information.

Also, will this affect my credit score?

I have to do this "Closing the Gap" project. Which one should i do and why?

Hurry and get back to me!
I don’t have much time!!

ive been looking around on age concern, but i was wondering what else there is..open days or card making/sending??

in the uk?

Im not trying to be rude. I notice my grandparents and there not as quick as they used to be. its seems like they do everything slow they move slow, drive slow etc. i read somewhere that as you age your myelin sheath loses the ability to repair itself efficiently and because of that neurons dont fire as fast in an elderly persons brain. is this the reason why it seems like they have to concentrate slowly on every task more than a younger person?

So many are relegated to using walkers or wheelchairs. "Old age" is just a broad general answer. Specifically, why do they lose the ability to walk?

My Mom and I live together and I will be primarily responsible for the dog. I will be walking, exercising, feeding, grooming, transporting it to the vet, etc., so that is no problem. However, I do work full time and my Mom will be alone with the dog for 9-10 hours a day/5 days per week. My biggest concerns are her being knocked down or tripped by a dog. Her mobility is limited and she is not too steady on her feet. We have owned several dogs in the past but have not had a dog in about four years (our last dog died of old age four years ago). We don’t want a dog that is too hyper or barky. I plan on getting the dog from a rescue or shelter. I am looking for a mature dog, not a puppy, since I work. I do have pet birds in the house so I would prefer something with a lower prey drive.

To ensure how safe they will be on the road?
If so, what age do you think they should be required to take the test and how often should they have to take it?

And any links will be helpful :) I have to write a research paper, so pleaseee answer.

As women get older (senior citizen age) they become more likely than men to experience poverty. What do feel are the contributing factors and how can they remedied?
BQ2- Are we a little to distracted in general with superficial gender issues revolving around youth and popular culture?

My mom at the age of 75 fractured her hip bone by falling down. As she can not bear a surgery to clear it, she is living with external care and medicine. She is undergoing great pain and sufferings. Can anybody advice the way to handle the situation please.

They need 24 hour care, but have no assets, or real money in the bank. They haven’t prepared financially for a burial plots, and are at the ripe age of 94, and 89. Instead they’ve left me with a big mess to clean up as far as where they live. Thanks for your comments.

I know that situations obviously vary from place to place and from situation to situation, but my parents are self-employed, and will be retirement age in about 15-20 years. Am I able to add them to my health insurance to ensure that they have medical coverage? If not, is there anything they can do now to ensure that they’re taken care of medically when retirement time arrives?

Does anyone have advice for coping with an aging grandparent? Im in college and live with my elderly grandparent. They are increasingly needing more help and its making me nervous and is more than i can handle. I asked my parents if I can come home and they said yes, but its quite obvious to me that my parents and aunts and uncles are all a little more at ease having me there. Its alot of pressure and I dont know how to deal with it.

?

I am not mentioning that user out of respect for his elderly age

claiming he is a EVERTON Reject

but here is a clue: Tell a Neverton fan forever they are 2nd to Liverpool

Are the elderly revered or seen as increasingly obsolete in your society, using your own culture’s perspective?
Most importantly, in defense of your answer, why do you think this is so?

Elderly man age 79 is served court petition for credit charges from his deceased partner. What can and should he do? It looks like the firm wants to settle but the elderly man has no money to pay the entire thing. He was extremely harrased before by lots ofcredit companies before this lawsuit came so would this count that he can file a counter suit?

This was suggested and highly recommended by a medical assistant who works with patients who have this illness. My mother is 82 years old and is suddenly progressing quite rapidly in that direction. Her long term memory seems to be okay based on what she does remember from long ago and can remember some things in detail. The short term memory is the one that is tremendously frustrating her as she at times cannot recollect the conversation we had 2 minutes later. The doctor has already confirmed to us that it is NOT Alzheimer’s. Thank you kindly for any feedback or websites you can direct me to reseach to help slow down or delay this progressive aging disease.

they are four days away from being elderly and my girl is preg. so i need to stop her from aging, well her and her husband, is that possible? can my kids still age?
